TYRE REGULATIONS
The MSA has posted an announcement on its website today, clarifying the regulations relating to tyres in Roadgoing Categories for Sprint and Hillclimb events. The MSA has confirmed that organisers are free to specify tyre choice.
http://www.msauk.org/site/cms/newsarticle.asp?chapter=1&nid=1307
We have not yet received direct confirmation that our Regs have been approved by the MSA. However, our Regs do conform to the ruling and I expect to get formal approval shortly. Please refer to our Regs for full details of the tyre rules, but in brief we will permit List 1A tyres only on Classes 1A, 1B and 1C.
We have worked hard with championship organisers across the north of England to develop a common set of Regs which would enable competitors to compete across the region without encountering eligibility problems. These Regs were and still are valid and will be used by most, but unfortunately not all, of the clubs and championships in the North.
